New Year, New Resolutions.....

I have to admit that I am not, nor have I ever been one to make a list of New Year's Resolutions just because it's the beginning of a new year.  I do periodically create new goals for myself - usually in the form of yet another need to do, want to buy, want to create or just want to........

I am definitely a list kind of gal - I think it stems from the fact that I usually have too much random junk floating around in my brain at any one given time, so writing stuff down helps to lessen the brain overload (and yes, it is easily overloaded).  I probably like blogging for the same reason - out of my head and onto the web!  So no, I have not created any new goals for myself, but when I do you will be the first to know!

I have done a couple of new things so far this year.....

I joined a Mom Bloggers Club - a place where all of us Mom Bloggers can come together and share thoughts, ideas and tips. So far it's been very helpful and insightful.

As a result of joining the above I ran across a blog (please don't ask the name as I forgot to bookmark it) and one of the posts on that site was a book review!  For those of you who know me, you know I can consume a good book in a matter of hours, an o.k. book in a day or two and the books that are not so great - well I have been known to take up to a week to read one....and if they are really, really bad I just set it down and it collects dust.  So back to the book review business, I am now signed up to be a book reviewer!

The company sends me a book, I read it and then write a review!  What's not to like, I even get to choose what book they will send (from a pre-defined list) and I get to keep the book for free!  Once I finish reading the book I just need to write a couple of paragraphs worth of review.  Yeah for always "acing" English and writing classes (don't let the blog prose fool you)!  As fast as I read this adds up to quite a bit of money in the form of free books.

Next quest - product reviews!  I wonder if I could review an RV???
