During the fall and winter it is almost impossible to get my kids to go outside to enjoy some fresh air, but when that snow comes around they can't wait to go outside. Our fist snow of the season was early this year and came on a non school day. My youngest daughter was up at 7:30 am, by 8 am she was begging to go outside to play in the snow! I did manage to keep her in the house until 9:30 am, but it wasn't easy. Even my oldest pre-teen daughter roused herself out of bed at the early hour of 9:30 so she could go outside and play!
We adopted a dog (Bella) into our family last year at the end of January so this was also her first snow. We were not sure how she would take to it as she hates every thing having to do with water including rain, baths and wet paws. Snow was a different matter altogether though......she raced around the yard stopping to pause every once in a while so she could put her snout into the snow and snort it!
It was so funny to watch her!
Managed to take a picture of a bird trying to find food under the snow! |
Our kitty meets snow, I don't think he was impressed! |
Hi. Snow is pretty and so is this blog. Actually our snow still looks nice and icicles are everywhere. It's kind of fun despite the three days of snow days for my kids. Cheers, I follow you back (Wink!)
