Happy St. Patrick's Day

St. Patrick's Day Symbolism
I celebrate St. Patrick's Day with my family, probably in the same style as many Americans ~ by wearing Green, having the traditional corned beef, cabbage, potatoes and carrots for dinner, but where did these traditions come from?

As always, I turned to the Internet and the History Channel to find my answers.

Many of the traditions that we Americans have adopted are purely "Americanized", for example wearing Green and getting pinched ~ American; corned beef, cabbage and potatoes ~ American.

Once again, I am proud to be American and part of our American traditions, and no matter what my "actual" heritage is, I remain and always will be, American first and foremost!

Here is a great freebie offered by Irish Beef ~ Beef Recipe Collection - Anthony Worrall Thompson, this has a simple sign up (first name, last name, zip code & email), they will confirm your sign up via email, you click on the link to download the recipe book (.pdf format).  It includes 14 receipes and a special help section.
